Pokemon: Mezase Pokemon Master (Aim to be a Pokemon Master) gave us reunitement's that a lot of us been wanting. From the og trio to Ash/Satoshi pokemon.
In the end what his goal be a master is to be every pokemon's friend (Yep ofc that's the answer to a kids show.)

What was I hoping is to see most to all of his pokemon he release and be with and which most to all actually did which one almost regret would've been was Pidgeot and they sgreeze it in there but the most major regret was no May and or Max reunion at all T^T.

And Team Rockets still chasing that twerp and his pickachu in the end.

So this is it.
26 years, and Ash has seen it all.
I have been a fan for a long time, and it has been a pleasure seeing him go through so many adventures.
Although we may not see him as a main character, I do hope that we can see him as a cameo in the upcoming series some time soon.
But until then, never stop being a Pokémon Master, Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town!

The company stated his journey isn't coming to an end. With that statement and this series, it's obvious that he will show up in the future. Likely in smaller series, cameo appearances, maybe even movies. His role in the main series may be over, but he will never fully disappear. Ash became a part of many peoples lives and will be cherished for years to come.

I won't source because everything about the subject is second hand and the original interview in Japanese was taken off the website (as it's been three months). But essentially Hiraoka Risuke had mentioned Satoshi (Ash) will have more in the future. This was back in December and people could argue the 11 episodes was what they meant, however, if they got fans excited for Ash's journey to continue only for the finale 11 episodes that itself would have been very deceptive. With the ending of the show, it's obvious he's still out on his adventure. We might not see a ton of him, but future content with him has been setup in a way and it's unlikely they wouldn't use a cameo to gather hype for a series.

Not to mention, if the new series goes south and they believe they made a mistake, they may one day go back to Ash's Journey. I hope not, even if I love the character... I think it's best to let other character have time to shine.
Either way, believe what you want. But I'm simply telling you what has been talked about in interviews which I keep up with and only the future will tell the truth and the full truth (as the company keeps things like how often Ash will show back up close to their chest).
